Trivia[]
- ZAG Toon is the first label to be created for the Zagtoon studio. Because of it, Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir, Zak Storm: Super Pirate, Ghostforce, and SuperStar were all originally part of the ZAG Toon label prior to the ZAG Heroez and ZAG Power Princess labels being created.
- ZAG Toon has more number of confirmed cancelled projects than any of the labels with a total of six television series. The reason behind the cancellation is that they are unable to get greenlighted by French television broadcasters at trade show events.
- There are a total of seven known pilots that were created and shown at MIPCOM events. However, five of them are currently lost media and haven't resurfaced online yet.
- As of 2024, the only pilots that are available online are Rosie and Kobushi.
- The five currently known lost pilots include Basile and Melba, Job Academy, Sweet Power, Touftouf & Kenotte, and Transylmaniac.
- Rosie is the first ZAG Toon television series to be successfully greenlighted and eventually released in the ZAG Toon label. It is also the first project to ever be released by ZAG Entertainment.
- It's also the first television series to reach past 100 episodes.
- Despite being part of the ZAG Toon label, a majority of the projects aren't fully owned by ZAG and they are instead co-productions for another studio.
- Rosie is owned by 2 Minutes.
- Sammy & Co is owned by StudioCanal since it's a sequel/spin-off of the A Turtle's Tale film duology.
- Popples used to be owned by Saban Capital Group when the television series was produced. However, the rights were later sold to Hasbro in 2018.
- Denver the Last Dinosaur is owned by World Events Productions since it's a reboot of the original 1988 television series.
- Arthur and the Book of Life is owned by EuropaCorp since it was going to be a sequel/spin-off of the Arthur and the Minimoys franchise.
- Basile and Melba and Job Academy are owned by Glénat Editions since they were going to be animated adaptations of its publishing titles.
- Kobushi is the only released project that is fully owned by ZAG. Even though its pilot was originally pitched at SIP Animation, the rights for the television series got transferred to ZAG after SIP Animation was defunct in 2012.
- The only known projects that are not based on an existing intellectual property are Balloons, Kosmic Dancer, Sweet Power, Touftouf & Kenotte, and Transylmaniac.
- Prior to the ZAG website's 2019 update, Balloons was the only project that didn't have its own page for the ZAG Toon label. Balloons is also the only ZAG Toon project to be mentioned on one of Jeremy Zag's Instagram posts on June 15, 2016.
