Popples was a planned feature film based on the 2015 TV series of the same name. It was going to be a co-production between ZAG and Saban Brands.
The feature film was first announced on the ZAG website in 2016.[1] But, as of 2018, Hasbro now owns the Popples franchise after being bought by Saban Brand. Because of this, plans for the feature film were cancelled.
Trivia[]
Because the Popples franchise is now owned by Hasbro, both ZAG and Saban Brands have lost the rights to produce any more media based on the 2015 TV series.
Since Popples is a Netflix original series, it's possible that the feature film would have also been released on the streaming service.
If the movie had managed to be in production before Saban Brands sold the franchise to Hasbro, then it would have made it the second film to be based on the Popples franchise after the 1986 film of the same name.
