Nathalie Sancoeur[10] is one of the two secondary antagonists (alongside Lila Rossi/Cerise) of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir, serving as a recurring character of Season 1, the secondary antagonist of Seasons 2, 3 and 4, and an anti-hero in Season 5. She is a former treasure hunter of magical objects and Gabriel Agreste's assistant who manages his fashion work, his mansion, and takes care of his son Adrien.
In "Catalyst", which is part of the "Heroes' Day" special, Nathalie was voluntarily akumatized by Hawk Moth into Catalyst, a power-enhancing supervillain.
In "Mayura", in order to save Hawk Moth from the French Miraculous superhero team, Nathalie used the Peacock Miraculous. When the Peacock Miraculous was inhabited by Duusu, she became Mayura, a peacock-themed supervillain who helped Hawk Moth by creating allies for akumatized villains.
In "Ladybug", Nathalie was reakumatized into Catalyst in an attempt to help Scarlet Moth, but due to being ill, she was deakumatized shortly after.
Throughout Season 4, due to using the damaged Peacock Miraculous, Nathalie was left very weak and stuck in bed, but was eventually well enough to get back to work, with the aid of robotic leg braces to help her walk.
In "Evolution", after Gabriel failed to fix the Peacock Miraculous by giving the recipe to do it to his younger self, in that way preventing both Emilie and Nathalie from using the damaged Miraculous and getting sick, all because of his obsession to get Ladybug and Cat Noir's Miraculous, Nathalie, feeling betrayed by him, decided to break ties with him and stop helping him, leaving Gabriel frustrated that she had abandoned him for his failure.
In "Passion", with Adrien in risk of becoming alone due to both hers and Gabriel's terminal situation and to honor Emilie's wishes, Nathalie let herself be akumatized by Monarch into Safari, a hunter-themed supervillain with the power to never miss her target and received the power of the Goat Miraculous superpower through her Alliance ring. She also decided to take the Ladybug and Cat Miraculous herself in order to prevent Gabriel from using them to mold the universe into his own madness.
In "Representation", Nathalie's illness from the Peacock Miraculous got worse, as there were visible eye bags under her eyes and the red highlights on her hair turned white. Gabriel also took the other half of the double wedding ring from her, as he said Nathalie was unworthy of upholding the legacy of the Agrestes.
In "Conformation", Nathalie attempted to do a video message for Adrien but failed to do so. She also tried to stop Gabriel but passed out when Gabriel transformed into Monarch. He took Nathalie to her room, where Ladybug was hiding. Once Gabriel left the room, Ladybug questioned Nathalie about where Adrien was. Nathalie informed her that he was safe and implored her to stop Monarch at all costs before she succumbed to her illness.
In "Re-creation", after Gabriel sacrificed himself and made the wish, Nathalie is recovered from her illness.

Physical appearance[]
Nathalie stands at an average adult height. She has pale skin, bluebell eyes and black hair with a streak on the left side of her head that is dyed a red color. Her hair is pulled back into a bun with the hair on top with a piece of it hanging over her face.
However from "Representation" to Conformation", due to her illness, her dyed streak became white and got dark eye bags.
Civilian attire[]
Nathalie has glasses with black and red striped frames and she wears very pale blue eyeshadow. She wears a red turtleneck sweater, a black dress jacket, black pants, and black medium-heel shoes. She also has round creamy-white earrings. From "Risk" and onwards she wears Emilie's wedding ring, which was entrusted to her by Gabriel, until he took it from her in "Representation".
As Mayura[]
Mayura's skin was light indigo, and she had short, strong blue hair, part of which curled up underneath her left eye. Her eyes had light magenta irises and vivid violet sclerae, and there was black liner around her eyes, resembling glasses.
She wore a peacock-feather-like cocktail hat, which was blue and tear-shaped with a light pink mark in the center and a light blue, translucent veil over her right eye.She wears a blue dress with a fuzzy black collar and sleeves that end in a point on the back of her hand. The dress appears to have a set hexagonal texture, as well as the Peacock Miraculous in the center. The bottom of the dress has a front-slit skirt, and the end of the skirt has rounded points with dark blue, light-pink-centered spots, resembling a peacock's tail feathers. The rounded points are edged with translucent light blue material. Underneath the dress, she has translucent indigo tights that are opaque from the knees down, and high-heeled boots. She also holds a blue hand fan.
As Catalyst[]
Catalyst had pale, light grayish blue skin. Over her head, while leaving her mouth exposed, she wore a dark grayish cornflower blue helmet with a red visor with dark grayish cornflower blue edges and a red spike pointing towards the back of her head. Catalyst also wore a dark grayish cornflower blue dress suit with pointed shoulders, including a strong red front and swan neck collar that featured a red downward-arrow-shaped section in the center. The sleeves covered her entire arms, with the tips of her fingers fading into red. Also, Catalyst had pocket-like ridges on each side of her hips, and her pant legs came down to her feet, having red high-heels, soles, and tips.
As Safari[]
As Safari, she looked a lot like her civilian form. However, she had pale light grayish purple skin, vivd red eyes with dark purple sclera, dark purple lips, a pair of pince nez type glasses and her hair was slicked back with her red streak being more evident and vibrant. She wore a dark purple turtleneck short-sleeved sweater, a camouflage hunting short-sleeved jacket and shorts, dark purple fingerless gloves and black knee high boots with laces at the front.

Personality[]
Nathalie is a serious and formal woman who works very diligently as Gabriel Agreste's assistant. She has a cold and distant demeanor as she doesn't openly show her emotions around others most of the time. Her will is strong, remaining unfazed even when people of greater authority like Audrey Bourgeois yell at her, knowing the aforementioned couldn't affect her and smiled with satisfaction after the event. Objective, sensible, and understanding, Nathalie can reason with both Gabriel and Adrien whenever they are acting inconsiderately or emotionally, sometimes in relation to each other. While not warm, she can be cordial and polite.
However, in situations where she is dealing with Gabriel, Nathalie becomes nervous, being afraid to disappoint him. Her desire to be on his good side leads her to unfair actions, such as giving Adrien a birthday gift and claiming it is from Gabriel when it is actually from Marinette. Despite this, she doesn't always obey Gabriel's orders or has acted rebelliously, as seen in "Oni-Chan" when she let Lila enter with the intention to help Adrien, not knowing she was being manipulated in that moment. This was seen again in "Ladybug" but to a more dangerous step, as she used the then damaged Peacock Miraculous despite her more delicate condition.
Although she doesn't usually openly show it, Nathalie desires what is best for the Agreste family and often hopes that Gabriel would pass more time with Adrien instead of acting as a villain.[11] However, her concern is limited to the Agreste family only and she doesn't seem to care about the other Parisians' well-being. In fact, Nathalie obeys Gabriel's orders and helps him with his plans with fierce dedication and loyalty, no matter how morally wrong they are, so he could accomplish his goal and thus finish his time as Hawk Moth[12]. She takes sadistic joy in fooling the heroes into thinking they can win.
Even though she has a cool and calm demeanor, Nathalie can lose her temper on occasion and would disregard any detrimental consequences as a result. She can get frustrated by the fact that her boss is failing and even goes as far as letting herself be harmed in order to success, which actually make many plans successful. Despite this, Nathalie admits that the job is sometimes too much[13]. As shown in "Ladybug", Nathalie apparently sees the sentimonsters she creates as Mayura only as tools to do her bidding and has no qualms with revoking their amoks if they defy her as she did with the Ladybug sentimonster, effectively murdering a living, sentient being and showing no remorse for having done so.
However like Gabriel, she didn't think things the whole way through like in "Evolution", as they both didn't fully understand the consequences of time travel. Even if Gabriel managed to give himself the recipe to fix the Peacock Miraculous before it was used by Emilie, it would create a time paradox that could put in danger all the time-continuun.
Despite initially being extremely loyal to Gabriel (as she helped him in many dangerous and risky plans to get the Ladybug and Cat Miraculouses and even put her life on the line while using the damaged Peacock Miraculous), Nathalie is not above to perceive the madness forming in Gabriel's mind. That is showed at the moment he came up with the plan to force Ladybug to take risks so she would make a mistake. However, it is when she realizes that Gabriel's obsession in defeating Ladybug and Cat Noir is far bigger than his wish to heal Emilie and herself that she finally understands his madness and puts a strain on their friendship, refusing to help him any longer. However, despite stopping supporting Gabriel as Monarch, she would still work for him as his secretary and live at the mansion in order to keep Adrien safe.
After learning about Gabriel's Cataclysmed arm that was fated to spread and kill him, what would cause Adrien to become alone (as Nathalie was fated to die as well because of the magic illness she got from using the damaged Peacock Miraculous), Nathalie comes to a decision to continue to help Gabriel in his plans, even letting him akumatize her. However, instead of helping him to give him the Miraculous, she would use him to get the Miraculous to herself so she would be the one to make the wish to bring Emilie back in order to prevent Gabriel from using them to mold the universe into his madness. Failing to do just that, Nathalie decided to spend the rest of the time she had left to enjoy Adrien's company and ensure his future and happiness.
As Nathalie started to dedicate herself fully to Adrien, the very remaining loyalty she still had for Gabriel started to disappear as she saw her boss abusing the control he had on Adrien. This is seen when Gabriel, after realizing Adrien was dating Marinette instead of Kagami, forced his son to stop seeing Marinette. This led Nathalie, after seeing how miserable Adrien was because of the conflict he was feeling about obeying his father and his love for Marinette, to incentivize him to not let anyone tell him who he should love, something that angered Gabriel. Since that moment, Nathalie started to do her best to protect Adrien's happiness from Gabriel's control, something that is slowly turning Gabriel against her as well.
Abilities[]
As a civilian[]
Nathalie is an effective assistant, able to take care of Gabriel's fashion work, look out for superheroes and potential akuma victims, and organize Adrien's strict schedule. Additionally, Nathalie has capable teaching abilities, as shown during Adrien's homeschool period.
Like her boss, Nathalie is insightful and cunning. She had the idea to use Lila's lying ability to cause stress to Chloé, who indirectly caused a very powerful akumatized villain and caused eventual doubt in the former superheroine. In the episode "Félix", she displayed notable unarmed combat skills.
Her plan of impersonating Ladybug with the Sentimonster Ladybug to get the Cat Miraculous had a considerable chance to succeed, but ultimately failed.
Throughout most of her appearances, Nathalie has proved to be talented with the element of stealth. She is good at hiding herself and take advantage of distractions to sneak without anyone noticing. This ability allowed her to evade professional guards and steal Fu's tablet with the deciphered spellbook pages.
As Mayura[]
Mayura had enhanced physical characteristics: speed, strength, and agility. She showed considerable hand-to-hand combat skills against more experienced combatants.
However, her illness started to weaken her physical prowess even in her enhanced state.
Mayura was able to infuse a feather plucked from her hand fan with her power, transforming it into an amok, and sending it out to possess an object owned by a chosen target, with whom she could communicate telepathically. While she was communicating, a blue curved peacock mask appeared in front of her and her target's faces.[14] Her actions then gave an emotion from her target a physical form of that person's choosing, which acted as the target's ally until recalled via a snap of her fingers, which destroyed it.
Even if she didn't create them, Mayura could either bring back to life dormant sentimonsters or destroy them through their amoks. This ability was first seen in "Feast".
As Catalyst[]
Catalyst had the power to multiply/enhance/augment/increase someone's powers; infusing scarlet energy into an object belonging to her target, similar to an akumatized object. When affected, the person gained a red-colored outfit. In Hawk Moth's case, this power allowed him to akumatize multiple butterflies and transform multiple people at once. Catalyst could also communicate with the person she enhanced, during which a red sharp-edged butterfly mask appeared in front of both of their faces, similar to Hawk Moth.
As Safari[]
Safari's main power was to be able to always hit her target. From Monarch, she received the power of Genesis, which allowed her to create her own set of weapons: a crossbow with five projectiles, each with the ability to hold a Miraculous power, and were charged by Monarch with other Miraculous superpowers: Mirage, Venom, Gift, the Dragon Miraculous Superpower and Clout; a tracker that she used on her right wrist to guide her projectiles and also a whip that she could use to throw objects at her target, with those objects following them due to her innate power.

Gabriel Agreste/Hawk Moth/Shadow Moth/Monarch[]
Nathalie works professionally as Gabriel's assistant, making sure to take care of all of his requests and looks after his son. Occasionally, she tends to get nervous when dealing with him, such as when she forgot to buy a gift for Adrien on his behalf, leading her to lie and tell Adrien that Marinette's gift was actually from his father. Although wary of him becoming disappointed with her, Nathalie is willing to stand up to him for Adrien's sake, as when she voiced her displeasure with him for being too distracted by his missing wife to see his own son's misery during "Santa Claws". In "The Collector", it is revealed that Nathalie is aware that Gabriel is Hawk Moth. In "Queen Wasp" indicates that she has deep feelings for Gabriel, being relieved when he decides to stop being Hawk Moth for his own well-being, but she is devastated when he changes his mind because he loves Emilie too much. Her loyalty is so strong that in "Catalyst", she helps with his plan for taking Ladybug's and Cat Noir’s Miraculouses by allowing him to akumatize her. Since "Mayura", Nathalie risks herself by using the damaged Peacock Miraculous to transform a villain in order to help Hawk Moth in his plans. According to her in "Stormy Weather 2", Nathalie admits having deep admiration for Gabriel and knows that it has presumably morphed into romantic feelings. In "Reflekdoll", after their failure with Reflekta, she reminded him that they're stronger together in their following attempts, which resulted to be true. Despite her devotion, in "Ladybug", she disregarded his orders and concocted her own plan for getting the heroes' Miraculous, aware of Gabriel's desperation. But when she was told that her time as Mayura was over, Nathalie accepted that and knew he could call on her at any time.
In "Passion", despite their fallout, she still worked in the Agreste mansion telling Adrien to not force himself to eat something he doesn't like only to please his father, while pretending to get along with the latter in front of him, with Gabriel putting his hand on her shoulder. After Adrien leaves, she quickly immobilizes Gabriel in an armlock, telling him to never do that again and that she helped him as a treasure hunter, his right-hand woman, bodyguard, friend and something more but she made it clear that was over now and she was only staying to protect Adrien from his madness as he wasn't doing this for Emilie anymore, but seeing his cataclysmed flesh he tells her he doesn't have much time either, shocking her and he asks for her help finding the Miraculouses to heal themselves so Adrien wouldn't be alone. After watching Emilie's recorded message and refusing to allow Gabriel to reshape the universe in his twisted image, Nathalie pretended to help him again by akumatizing herself again, secretly planning to use Ladybug and Cat Noir's Miraculouses herself, and when Monarch suspected this, she threatened to tell his identity and intentions to the heroes. Despite still wanting the Ladybug and Cat Miraculouses to perform the wish to bring Emily back, Gabriel's madness made her uncertain about the all plan, as she feared what price Gabriel was willing to pay in order for his wishes to come true. This is showed in "Deflagration", after she heards from Gabriel that he knows the identities of the new holders of the Ladybug and Cat Miraculouses. However, their already damaged relationship would come to suffer another straining in "Protection" after Gabriel came to learn about Adrien and Marinette being dating. Fearing what their relationship could do with his deal with Tomoe Tsurugi of having Adrien being together with Kagami, Gabriel forbids his son from seeing Marinette again, an order that Nathalie comes to counter by incentivating Adrien to not let anyone tell him who he should love. After learning about this, Gabriel came to confront Nathalie about it who tells him the power he has over Adrien doesn't mean he can go as far as to prevent his son from loving whoever he wants. This moment marked the beginning of a silent war between Gabriel and Nathalie over Adrien's own freedom. In "Adoration", Nathalie uses Gabriel's own promise of doing whatever Adrien wanted to force him to allow Adrien to go with Marinette to the school's end-of-the-year party. In "Emotion", Nathalie shows to Gabriel her reproval about him trying to force Adrien to be with Kagami, whispering that he shouldn't expect his plans to happen as he hoped. Despite their ongoing disagreement over what is best for Adrien, Nathalie is still showed to be very concern over Gabriel's terminal situation, helping him to try to get more time, mainly because of Adrien. This is showed in "Pretension", as she helps him to try to use the power of the captured kwamis to try to slow/retreat the advance of Cat Noir's Cataclysm, failing to do it. In the same episode, she gets very upset with Gabriel for his decision to send Adrien to London for the next school year, especially because it's something she has no power to prevent from happening, a fact that Gabriel is not afraid to make it evident to her. In "Representation", after Adrien escapes from London, Gabriel suspected Nathalie had something to do with it and demanded her to tell him where was Adrien, but Nathalie replied she didn't know but the further Adrien is from him the better, and Gabriel became angry with her and took the ring from her finger, claiming it was a mistake trusting her with his legacy. She replied that she's confident Adrien will escape him, no matter what. In "Conformation", after watching Emilie's recordings again, Nathalie despite her ailing health, armed herself with a crossbow and went to the repository to stop Monarch, reminding him if he revived Emilie, someone else would have to take her place, but then collapsed from her illness and Monarch carried her unconscious body to her room, where he detransformed and told her he knew she would betray him since she encouraged Adrien's relationship with Marinette but then left her to relax with her Alliance ring. In "Re-creation (The Final Day - Part 2", Nathalie was revived by Gabriel sacrificing his life after making his wish with the Ultimate Miraculous Power. |
Adrien Agreste/Cat Noir[]
Nathalie is usually serious around Adrien, not being very warm or close to him though she is his current main caretaker. Despite this, she does care for him, which she shows when she requests to Gabriel that Adrien be allowed to go to school after seeing how much he wanted to attend. In "Santa Claws", she sees how sad he is about his father not celebrating Christmas and asks Gabriel to spend time with his son. She even softly smiles at Adrien's joy at his friends being allowed into the mansion on Christmas. She showed concern for him when Gabriel took a big risk in "Style Queen".
In "Risk", she accompanies Adrien in his world trip, and becomes surprised when "Adrien" (actually Félix disguised as his cousin) told Gabriel he doesn't want to go to this trip but Nathalie tells him it's time to go and "Adrien" obeys. In "Strikeback", when she noticed Adrien upset for the trip, she tried to cheer him up by telling him he would visit the world and could tell his friends about it when he returns home, however when "Adrien" disappeared from the train (as he was recruited by Pennybug), Nathalie became worried and tried to tell Gabriel only to have a coughing fit because of her illness. However, despite her falling out with Gabriel, she still cares for Adrien as seen in "Multiplication" when she smiles at him while he was asleep.
In "Illusion", Nathalie happily offers to accompany Adrien in his school's parent-teacher conference, but is stopped by Gabriel, who insisted into going there himself. Overtime, Nathalie had discovered that Adrien has feelings for Marinette Dupain-Cheng but unlike Gabriel, she was supportive of his relationship with her and wanted to protect it; starting in "Protection", when Gabriel tried to order Adrien from having any kind with Marinette, she counterordered it and told Adrien not to let anyone, not even Gabriel, stop him from loving whomever he wanted. In "Emotion", she believed that Adrien has the right to be with the girl he loves and thus becomes angry at Gabriel for wanting to force his son to get back with Kagami. In "Pretension", she shares Adrien's dismay that he'll be sent away to London when the school year is over just to keep him away from Marinette, especially because it's something that she can't prevent from happening--something he made clear to her. In "Collusion," she calls him out on projecting his desires onto Adrien. In "Revolution", before Adrien leaves, Nathalie tells him that even though he can't disobey his father, he still has the freedom to love whoever he wants. In "Representation", after Adrien disobeys his father and leaves London to be with Marinette again, Gabriel suspects Nathalie's role in it, but denied it. After Gabriel takes the ring back from her, she's still confident Adrien will escape him, no matter what. Nathalie is unaware that Adrien is Cat Noir. However, she despises the hero and wants to help Gabriel take his Miraculous from him, even telling Hawk Moth that she'll go to any lengths to end his reign. However, in "Startrain", she expressed hope that the hero would rescue Adrien when he and his class were blasted into space. In an alternate future in "Cat Blanc", Nathalie had been horrified when she learned of Cat Noir's secret identity. But thanks to Ladybug, the timeline was erased. She has often met Cat Noir as her supervillain alter ego Mayura. |
Duusu[]
Nathalie uses her to transform into Mayura. While their relationship hasn't been much explored, it is clear that Duusu enjoys the chaos her owner causes (due to her miraculous being damaged) and cares for her, as she gets upset when Nathalie collapses after using the Peacock Miraculous in "Reflekdoll". As for Nathalie, she doesn't seem to heed Duusu's advice in "Ladybug", preferring to transform and create the ultimate sentimonster.
Emilie Agreste[]
While their relationship hasn't been much explored, it is stated in "Stormy Weather 2" that Nathalie is deeply affected by Emilie's coma, becoming more saddened for her as time passes.
In "Evolution", she gives Gabriel a USB to fix the Peacock Miraculous in the past to save Emilie from her current condition. But Gabriel doesn't take the chance and Nathalie becomes angry at him for that and abandons her loyalty for him.
In "Passion", it was revealed that Emilie left Nathalie some prerecorded messages before falling in her coma, with the former entrusting Nathalie to help her husband to stop his obsession with the Miraculouses and to care for her son, stating she knows Nathalie will take care of Adrien as a mother would, which moves her to tears and makes her determined to use the Ladybug and Cat Miraculouses to heal herself to be there for Adrien. She continued to watch the recordings in "Collusion", "Representation", and "Conformation".
Marinette Dupain-Cheng/Ladybug[]
Nathalie has seldom encountered Marinette personally, only seeing her in person during the derby hat competition in "Mr. Pigeon" and briefly interacting with her in "Style Queen". On Adrien's birthday in "The Bubbler", she treats Marinette formally when on a speaker, but disregards her by claiming to Adrien that Marinette's gift was from Gabriel.
In an alternate future, Nathalie was willing to go along with Gabriel's plan to force Marinette to break up with Adrien so she would be vulnerable to akumatization, despite the obvious and utter heartbreak this caused the poor girl.
In "Passion", Nathalie learns from Adrien himself about his crush on Marinette, deciding to give him advices about how to interact with her.
In "Protection", decided to help Adrien and Marinette to still see each other, despite Gabriel's protests, Nathalie incentivates Adrien to not let anyone tell him who he should love.
In "Adoration", Nathalie uses Gabriel's promise to grant Adrien what his heart desires and allows Adrien to go with Marinette to the school's end-of-the-year party.
In "Emotion", Nathalie continues to show her support for Adrien and Marinette's relationship and expresses that Adrien has the right to be with who he loves.
In "Pretension", Nathalie shared sadness and anger with Marinette, that Adrien's father will send his son away to London when the school year is over just to keep them separated.
In "Revolution", when Adrien is finally forced to leave, Nathalie tells him that even though he can't disobey his father, he still has the right to love anyone he wants, even Marinette.
Nathalie is unaware that Marinette is Ladybug. However, she despises the heroine and wishes to help Gabriel take her Miraculous, even telling Hawk Moth that she'll go to any lengths to end her reign. However, in "Startrain", she expressed hope that the heroine would rescue Adrien when he and his class were blasted into space
In "Conformation", Nathalie was confronted by Ladybug, who wanted to know Adrien's whereabouts, and in her final moments, Nathalie told her he was safe but she wasn't as Monarch sent all humanity after her and Cat Noir, and when the heroine noticed her ailing health, she offered to take her to the hospital, but Nathalie told her illness was beyond any medicine due to her use of the damaged Peacock Miraculous, thus indirectly revealing her that she was Mayura, and asked Ladybug to stop Gabriel as that what Emilie would have wanted and handed her Emilie's phone with her video recordings and told the heroine to detransform but then she fell in an endless sleep before she could explain further, much to Ladybug's shock and sadness and urged her to wake up.
Amelie Graham de Vanily[]
While their relationship hasn't been explored, In "Félix", during Emilie's disappearance anniversary, Nathalie sends Placide I.T. to pick up Amelie and Félix safely to the Agreste mansion and later escorts them to their rooms.
In "Emotion", after Gabriel dismisses Amelie's worry about not finding Félix, Nathalie is ordered by him to escort Amelie out of his event, and Nathalie reluctantly obeys and Amelie asks her how she could still help someone as cruel as Gabriel, to which Nathalie apologizes saying she has no choice, but Amelie tells her there's always a choice before leaving and Nathalie sadly looks on.

Chloé Bourgeois/Queen Bee[]
Like most Parisian citizens, Nathalie is aware that Chloé is Queen Bee. Though she does express a little bit of doubt about it, she willingly helps Gabriel in his plot to bring Chloé over to his side. As Mayura, while battling her, she tried to persuade Chloé into joining her and Hawk Moth by saying that if she did, she could be Queen Bee whenever she liked, though Chloé refused that time. However, in Miracle Queen, Chloe was mad at Ladybug for the fact that she never gave her the Bee Miraculous and joined Hawk Moth, only to be defeated by Dragon Bug and Snake Noir before Master Fu announced Ladybug as the new Miraculous guardian and henceforth losing his memories.
Placide I.T.[]
Nathalie and Placide have a healthy professional relationship while working for Gabriel and they are both shown to be equally scared of him in "Gorizilla". Like Placide, she supports Adrien's relationship with Marinette.

- The name Nathalie comes from a Latin root meaning "birth" or "born". Its use as a name is typically taken from the Latin phrase natale domini, meaning "birth of the Lord", referring to Christmas Day.
- Nathalie's surname Sancoeur ("sans cœur") means "heartless" or "without a heart" in French.
Alias[]
- The name Mayura means "peacock" in Sanskrit, one of the sacred birds in Hindu mythology. It is also a contemporary Hindu name used in many parts of India.[15]
- While the villain is female, Mayura is specifically the term for males while Mayuri is the term for females.
- In the Bulgarian dub for "Mayura", her name is changed to Mayra. However, throughout Season 3, she's referred to as Moyra.
- In the Irish dub, her name is changed to Nainsí; Irish for Nancy.

- Nathalie appears to be left-handed as she does most things with her left hand like holding a stylus in her left hand during "Ladybug and Cat Noir (Origins - Part 1)".
- Nathalie is the only person in the present who knows that Gabriel Agreste is Hawk Moth, other than Félix Fathom.
- By the time Bunnyx is an adult, she is also aware of who Hawk Moth is.
- Nathalie is the first character to explicitly be willingly akumatized (aside from Gabriel Agreste akumatizing himself in "The Collector"), although Lila Rossi's smirk after her de-evilization implies she may have also been willing to serve his scheme.
- Nathalie appears to be suffering from prolonged health issues as a result of using the Peacock Miraculous.
- Without her, Gabriel never would have found both the Peacock and Butterfly Miraculouses. As such, she can be considered largely responsible for the events of the show happening in the first place, aside from Master Fu when he created the Dormant Sentimonster.
- Mayura was revealed at the Miraculous panel at New York Comic Con 2016 under the name "Le Paon" (French for "The Peacock").[16]

- Despite knowing the Peacock Miraculous was damaged, she still used it to the point that her health condition was dangerously close to Emilie Agreste's condition from the Miraculous. If she hadn't stole Wang Fu's tablet to fix the Peacock Miraculous in "Miracle Queen", she might have ended up like Emilie. However in "Conformation" she fell in an endless sleep due to her illness, but is revived in "Re-creation" due to Gabriel's wish.
