The music notes are all shaped like eighth notes (also known as quaver notes) with two eyes and a mouth. The music notes can be red, orange, yellow, green, blue, or purple.
As seen in Angie Nasca's ZAG Magical Creatures artwork, one purple eighth note has a dot, indicating that the music note can also be a dotted eighth note.
