The Ladybug Miraculous is a pair of earrings that, whenever Tikki inhabits it, transforms the wearer into a ladybug-themed superhero with the power of Creation.
To activate the earrings for evil purposes, the user must speak the transformation phrase: "Blots On". To deactivate the earrings with evil purposes, the user must speak the detransformation phrase: "Blots Off".
The earrings are currently owned by Marinette Dupain-Cheng, who uses it to transform into the superhero Ladybug and formerly used it for evil purposes to transform into the supervillain Shadybug.
Appearance[]
In charged mode, the Ladybug Miraculous is a pair of domed stud earrings with silver bezels. The domes are red with five black spots in a quincunx pattern. Their shape and pattern resemble a ladybug's elytron. If a minor is using the earrings and they've activated Lucky Charm, it'll start running out of power, making a beeping sound with one spot flashing before disappearing every minute as an indication (one spot is equivalent to one minute) Marinette (or another Ladybug Miraculous holder) has left before they detransform. However if the Ladybug Miraculous is used for evil, the user can override the safety countdown but this can also drain the kwami and user's energy.
In its activated mode, it's the same as it's charged mode with exception of the domes being completely red.
In camouflage mode, the Ladybug Miraculous changes form depending on who wears it:
- When worn by Marinette Dupain-Cheng, it's the same as its charged and activated modes, but the domes are pink.
Abilities[]
The Ladybug Miraculous grants its wielder superhuman characteristics such as speed, strength, and agility.
Its special weapon is a yo-yo wtih retractable blades which increase its offensive abilities.
If the Miraculous is wielded by a minor who used it for evil purposes, the user would be able to override the security countdown, thus creating many Lucky Charms as many times the user wants, but only one at once and in the shape of any weapon the user wants, but also at the cost of slowly draining the kwami and the owner's energy, which is noticeable as a series of black veins growing on the user's face.
Also, like its counterpart, the user could use the Lucky Charm to summon a Miraculous Ladybug to fix all damage caused by its use, and is also able to heal the affliction for overuse of a Miraculous.
However, unlike its main counterpart, due to the Supreme's blocking seal on Tikki, the Miraculous is unable to activate the Ultimate Miraculous Absolute Power when fused with the Cat Miraculous, and any attempt to use it will result in the seal causing pain on the Kwami, a backlash and also accelerating the affliction on a minor user.
The Miraculous is also able to grant its owner the costume they desire.
Trivia[]
- This is an alternative version of the Ladybug Miraculous from a re-verse.
- In all the Multiverse, besides the Quantic Universe, this version of the Ladybug Miraculous is the only one known to be used for evil purposes up until its current holder's reformation.
- Due to a special blocking seal placed on Tikki, it is also the only known version of the Ladybug Miraculous that can't give access to the Absolute Power, unless the one using it is the Supreme.
