This article is about Alya in Re-verse. You may be looking for another Alya. |
Alya Césaire is a minor yet pivotal character of Miraculous World: Paris - Tales of Shadybug & Claw Noir. She is an alternative version of Alya Césaire from an alternate universe. She is also a member of the Resistance, a group helping superheroes fight against Shadybug and Claw Noir.
In "Miraculous Paris", in order to allow Betterfly to go to another universe to get help from superhero holders of the Ladybug and Cat Miraculous, Alya was kamikotized by Betterfly into Ubiquity, a superhero capable of creating portals to receive help from superheroes from other universes.
Appearance[]
Physical appearance[]
She has the same glasses as her parallel version, her hair is dyed completely red and she appears to have a fade on the left side of her head with the rest of the hair being on the bottom of her head.
Civilian attire[]
She wears a blue jacket, the same shirt as main universe Alya, though unlike her counterpart she keeps it unbuttoned, and she wears white tank top under her shirt, she wore a dark shade of red lipstick.
As Ubiquity[]
When kamikotized, Ubiquity's hair turned longer, became a two-tone ombré, having the roots turn purple, fading into magenta halfway, and she wore her hair straight, long and messy. Her body appeared slimmer than her civilian form. She wore a purple superhero jumpsuit covered in stars. A purple, magic cape was attached to her arms. Ubiquity wore a purple mask and her eyes turned magenta, the mask was covered with large round goggles, the akumatized object. The sides of the goggles had Ubiquity's logo: a winged wheel.
Abilities[]
As Ubiquity[]
Ubiquity's main power was the ability to be omnipresent in all the universes where she had a counterpart there. She did this by connecting to any of the counterparts and turning them into Ubiquity. Once she did that, she could see, hear, talk and act through her counterparts. When she was in control, her counterparts had no idea what was happening, only regaining it once the real Ubiquity was not using their bodies.
Her second power was the ability to open portals between universes through her cape which became covered in stars, simulating an universe, when activated. By connecting herself with her counterparts, she could create a bridge between her world and her counterpart's. Since she could act through all her counterparts, she could open portals from and to any universe she desired.
Because she could act through all of her counterparts by turning them into her, her kamiko was also present in the same object of that counterpart, similar to when an akumatized villain used Multitude while holding their akumatized object, with the akuma being able to be freed by breaking only one of the cloned objects.
Trivia[]
- She is the first known person to be a kamikotized superhero and not an akumatized supervillain to appear (besides the ones present at the Grimoire on the page about Kamikotization), being then an example of the potential that the Butterfly Miraculous has when used for good and not for evil.
- She is also the second known person empowered by the Butterfly Miraculous to not be akumatized by Hawk Moth/Shadow Moth/Monarch, followed by Timetagger who was akumatized by a Butterfly Miraculous holder from the future.
- However, she is kamikotized by an alternative heroic version of Hawk Moth/Shadow Moth/Monarch.
