Trivia[]

  • Even though ZAG and 2 Minutes both co-produced several projects together, both Kobushi and Miraculous Chibi are the only TV series that ZAG owns the rights to.
    • Kobushi was originally pitched to SIP Animation in 2008.[1] However, after the studio became defunct, one of its co-founders Jacqueline Tordjman later co-founded ZAG Entertainment (initially known as Univergroup) along with Jeremy Zag. Because Jeremy Zag and Nathanaël Bronn both co-created the Kobushi TV series, ZAG owns the full rights to it.
    • 2 Minutes owns the full rights to Rosie due to its creator Romain Gadiou pitched the series to the studio.[4]
    • ZAG, 2 Minutes, and Europa-Glénat used to own the television rights to both Basile and Melba and Job Academy. However, after Europa-Glénat became defunct, Glénat regained the full rights to them.
  • All of the projects ZAG and 2-Minutes co-produced were animated in 2D. However, except for Transylmaniac, each of the projects is based on an existing intellectual property.
    • Rosie is an animated adaptation of a short-run comic strip created by Romain Gadiou and was published on a now-defunct website called Mundo Bd.[5]
    • Kobushi is based on a TV pilot that was pitched to SIP Animation.[1]
    • Miraculous Chibi is a spin-off web series of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir.
    • The cancelled Basile and Melba and Job Academy TV series are both based on graphic novels published by Glénat.
